Film Screening of 'Changing the Curriculum: A Demand for Health Justice'

You are invited to a film screening and director Q+A of "Changing the Curriculum: A Demand for Health Justice." This 40-minute documentary was directed by 2020 Health Justice Interns, Kevin Campos Ramirez, Giselle Reynoso, Gabriela Duran, Leionaona Marshall, after completion of a 9-week internship hosted by UCLA/CDU's Students for an Anti-Racist Curriculum. Their documentary is a powerful piece highlighting the voices of over 20 community members with queer, Indigenous, Black, Latinx, undocumented identities.  The community members provide their definitions of structural racism, illustrate their perception of the medical institution, recall vulnerabilities during a pandemic and relay their hopes for current medical students.
